The Johnny Cash estate, Sandbox Succession, and Wasserman Music collaborated to create the new Man in Black Kit that Nashville Soccer Club has unveiled. The club’s supporters, The Backline Supporters Collective, served as inspiration for the Man in Black Kit. Nashville SC made its Major League Soccer debut on February 29, 2020. Ahead of the game, The Backline released their first MLS t-shirt, which included the Man in Black and the Nashville SC logo. Motivated by that instant, Nashville SC and The Estate of Johnny Cash started working together to narrate Cash’s life and legacy.

Dark graphite and iron metallic accents, such as an adidas logo, the Nashville SC crest, an iron metallic Renasant Bank logo, a jock tag featuring a photo of Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison, and Cash’s autograph on the back of the neck, adorn the all-black ensemble. The Hyundai logo is featured on the right sleeve, while the Apple TV and MLS logos on the left celebrate the collaboration between Apple and Major League Soccer.
