Jay Stansfield left Birmingham City and went back to his parent club Fulham after saying thank you to Lukas Jutkiewicz for being an excellent role model.
After an outstanding loan, the 13-goal striker took home all five medals at the Blues’ end-of-season awards ceremony on Sunday night. Despite Stansfield’s goals, Blues were relegated to League One for the first time in their thirty-year history.
Stansfield, 21, has learned a lot, though, and club captain Jutkiewicz has been a great mentor during this turbulent season. When Stansfield signed with Blues last August, he most definitely did not expect to work under six different managers.
