Jupiter, Florida – Due to the continuous rain that covered the whole state of Florida on Friday night, the Nationals were unable to play. They’ll attempt to play two games today despite the fact that neither is a make-up matchup with the Astros! See, the Nats already had a split-squad doubleheader set for both days and nights. (What fantastic preparation for the final day of spring training, huh?) At Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium, where half of the club will play their third game in a 12-day span against the Cardinals and Miles Mikolas, it all gets underway. In the two prior games, the seasoned right-hander only gave up three runs in 10 innings pitched. Mikolas’ opponent is Jake Irvin, who has outperformed the Mets in each of his last two starts.
