Tahith Chong, the adaptable attacking midfielder for Luton, is in awe of Chelsea star Reece James. He has spoken highly of James.
Due to injury, the 24-year-old right-back and Blues captain has had a difficult season, appearing in just nine games across all competitions. He has, nevertheless, demonstrated in recent years that he is a superb defender with a high ceiling.
Chong said to Sky Sports Premier League when asked who his hardest opponent was on a one-on-one basis: “I’d probably say Reece James.”

The all-action full-back last played against Everton in December of 2024, and he hasn’t played a single competitive minute of football since.
The European Championship event this summer seems to have arrived too soon for James, according to the Chelsea Chronicle, following a protracted layout. In order to prepare himself for the start of the upcoming season, he needs the summer to get in peak physical condition.
As Luton fights relegation in the Premier League this weekend, they will be praying that Chelsea does them a favor.
