ORLANDO — The Orlando Magic didn’t just make the playoffs and have one of the league’s brightest futures overnight. The foundation for Orlando was built in 2021, when they hired Jamahl Mosley as head coach and selected Jalen Suggs and Franz Wagner in the first round. While the Magic only won 22 games in the 2021-22 season, Mosley stated on JJ Redick’s podcast “The Old Man and the Three” that despite the difficulties of losing 60 games, the work and belief that a youthful squad was developing towards something never wavered.
