Preview of the Baltimore Orioles 2024 team: Can the Orioles win a World Series?

How far the Baltimore Orioles have come is truly remarkable. A few years prior, they concluded with a 52-100 record. They won 101 games and the AL East last season. Although the club was eventually defeated by the eventual World Series champions from Texas in the ALDS, the season didn’t end as they had hoped, it was still a positive start.

This season, we want to go one step further, if not farther.

The Orioles are currently up for sale, and it’s difficult to see how the new owner could be worse than the Angelos clan. The Orioles have an excellent farm system that produces the top prospect in baseball on multiple lists of the top 100 players. The hope now is that the Orioles can maintain this group of extremely talented young players for an extended period of time.

The Orioles finally made the trade that everyone had been waiting for, acquiring an ace in Corbin Burnes from the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for DL Hall and Joey Ortiz, right after the team’s sale was announced. The only issue with Baltimore’s offseason is that this was their only truly significant transaction. In addition to not filling up the transaction log with their one significant signing, Josh Hader, Houston has also won seven consecutive Championship Series. In the regular season, the O’s won 101 games, but in the postseason, they lost none.
