Over the past five years, Alyssa Nakken has experienced a few firsts. The first female major league coach ever hired full-time. The first female coach in a major league game with an on-field position. The first female candidate to interview for a major league managerial post.
She will have another experience on Sunday.
Nakken will get to celebrate her first Mother’s Day as a mother on January 21, 2024, following the birth of Austyn Brielle Nakken. Her experience as a mother has been marked by a lot of happy moments.
“Being a mother is the greatest thing I have ever loved,” Nakken remarked. “I’m really appreciative that over the past three years, I’ve been able to spend a lot of time with my daughter and grow with her.
