It was tough to recover from Miami’s 23–20 loss to Georgia Tech. That remained to be the case the following morning. Mario Cristobal deserves praise despite acknowledging that “We should’ve taken a knee.”
Indeed, Cristobal repeated that claim, in one form or another, repeatedly during the press conference held after the game. It was genuinely refreshing to see how resolved and willing he was to take direct responsibility. There are coaches who would have transferred the blame. Cristobal didn’t.
