The Orlando Magic became a contender after Jamahl Mosley joined. The Magic are also interested in seeing the coach’s next move. The organization announced on Tuesday that Mosley and the playoff-contending Magic, who are poised for their finest season in 13 years, had reached an agreement on an extension that would keep him in Orlando through the 2027–2028 campaign. Mosley is now on his third Orlando season. With emerging star Franz Wagner and All-Star forward Paolo Banchero anchoring a youthful core, this year’s squad started Tuesday atop the Southeast Division with a 37-28 record, putting them in a strong position to make the playoffs for the first time since 2020.
