An explorer was left stranded for almost an hour in the Texas desert with severe injuries when his paramotor crashed, and he barely survived. Anthony Vella, 33, was testing out the new BGD Luna 3 paramotor in the Enchanted Rock State Park, north-west of Austin, a short distance from the city. Vella was thrown to the ground when the machine abruptly collapsed at a speed of fifty miles per hour, reaching heights of 85 to 100 feet. From his hospital bed, the husband, who is also the father of four small children, shared the terrifying video.
