Basketball legend Dikembe Mutombo has tragically passed away at the age of 58 due to complications from brain cancer. Known for his remarkable 18-year NBA career and extensive humanitarian work, Mutombo left an indelible mark both on and off the court.
Mutombo, originally from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, was drafted in 1991 by the Denver Nuggets and went on to become one of the league’s greatest defensive players.
