Unbelievable: After Quarrelling With the Head Coach, The Milwaukee Bucks Key Player Departed From the Team.
The Milwaukee Bucks were involved in two trades during the 2024 NBA Trade Deadline.
Milwaukee traded Patrick Beverley to the Philadelphia 76ers for Cameron Payne and a 2027 second-round selection in their first trade of the day. They sent Robin Lopez and monetary considerations to the Sacramento Kings shortly after that. Although many had anticipated the Bucks to make more moves, general manager Jon Horst stated that the organization is still making roster adjustments. It wasn’t the most thrilling deadline day.
When asked about the team’s free roster space, Horst stated that the team will “obviously” fill it, according to Eric Nehm of The Athletic (subscription needed). Horst didn’t set a deadline, which makes sense given that he must immediately report to work and choose which player out there can benefit the Bucks team’s roster.
The Bucks are still searching for dependable wing defenders because teams can never have too much depth on the wings. They won’t find a game-changer on the market just yet, but there are a few names that seem appropriate that are at least worth looking into. For depth, the team would want to look at Stanley Johnson or Danuel House, who was just cut by Detroit.
The Bucks may prioritize adding a big man more than other players because Bobby Portis and Brook Lopez are the team’s only centers right now. When the OKC Thunder selected Bismack Biyombo on Saturday, the fan-favorite target was taken off the board. There aren’t many names available at the moment, but perhaps seasoned Nerlens Noelif they’re looking for a seasoned big man right now, might be of use.
