East Thunder Head
Tuesday night, the Oklahoma City Thunder will travel to the East Coast to face the Orlando Magic, one of the NBA’s emerging teams. The Thunder, who have won six of their past ten games, enter the game with a 36-17 record. The Thunder defeated the visiting Sacramento Kings 127-123 on Super Bowl Sunday to win their first game against the Kings in three attempts this season. The Kings prevailed thanks to the 38 points scored by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the 32 points from Jalen Williams. Williams had nine assists and eight rebounds, while Gilgeous-Alexander had seven assists as the two combined for a 28-of-46 shooting performance on the evening.
The Kings coach, Mike Brown, remarked, “SGA (Gilgeous-Alexander) played like an MVP candidate.” Even after we threw the kitchen sink at him, he managed to score 38. Then there came Jalen Williams, who was enormous. And the reason I believe he’s enormous is because, despite having 32, he was incredibly productive all night long.
