Green Bay Packers: Starter Who Spent Entire Career With Team Links Himself To Buffalo Bills
The Green Bay Packers made a somewhat surprising trade as the trade deadline for 2023 drew near. Rasul Douglas, the starting defensive back, was acquired by the Buffalo Bills for a third-round pick. Douglas almost immediately began producing plays for the Bills defense, including several interceptions. The knowledge that safety Micah Hyde was stolen by the Bills in the past and went on to have a fantastic career may have made it hurt a little more.
The Bills’ defense may now cost the Packers another dynamic player.
The Buffalo Bills are interested in yet another starter from the Green Bay Packers.

After their entertaining exchange on X, Bills supporters began to speculate whether Darnell Savage might follow his pal to Buffalo:

It would have been more economical for the Packers to have extended Savage, Nijman, and Nixon before to the start of their void provisions if they had wanted to bring them back for 2024.
Prolonging would have prevented:
Nijman: $1.9M; Savage: $4.1M
-Nixon: $1 million
They probably vanished, so they didn’t.
The Packers picked Savage with the 21st overall pick in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft. After 72 games, there have been 302 combined tackles, 9 interceptions, and 2 forced fumbles.
Savage’s contract might still be changed by the Packers during their protracted offseason, but the fact that he did not resign before the deadline implies otherwise.
The Bills are now being mentioned as a possible destination for the seasoned safety.
