Who Will Be the Blue Chip Players for the Jaguars in the 2024 Offseason?

This offseason, the Jacksonville Jaguars should overhaul their roster. That is what occurs when the unexpected outcomes are obtained by running it again.

With the Jaguars navigating free agency and the draft and surely moving on from some key contributors, both sides of the ball will have new faces.

Which players, though, should the Jaguars focus on developing rather than just holding onto? Before we get to free agency, we break it down.

Josh Allen is the best player on the Jaguars, as demonstrated in 2023; he is more than just a blue chip player. One of the most valuable assets for any NFL team is a young, dynamic pass rusher, and the Jaguars have Allen in Allen. Although he has had successful seasons in the past, 2023 was the finest year a Jaguars pass-rusher has ever experienced. It’s time for the Jaguars to make good on their promise to keep Allen around.

Allen represents one of the real and original building blocks of the Jaguars roster. After demonstrating for a number of years that he is among the best pass-rushers in this league, he had an outstanding season in 2023.

Trevor Lawrence

Trevor Lawrence hasn’t yet experienced Allen’s level of consistency in production, nor has he really had a season as explosive and record-breaking as Allen’s 2023. However, there is still no denying that Lawrence is the most crucial player going forward and one of the Jaguars’ best players on the team.

Though some will laugh at the notion that Lawrence is a blue chip player, the truth is that only ten teams would not swap their quarterback situation for Jacksonville’s. Lawrence has demonstrated exceptional talent throughout his career; if he had a stronger support network in 2024, this position might end up becoming the more accepted one.
