Report: The Los Angeles Dodgers star player is been suspended from all sports for a placing bets against…
The main goal of Spring Training is for players to discover various ways to make various aspects of their games function. It’s an opportunity to get any rust off before the season begins. However, bad performances in the spring are amplified when you sign a huge $325 million, 12-year contract.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto, a rookie right-hander for the Dodgers, experienced exactly this on Wednesday against the Chicago White Sox. Compared to his initial appearance of the spring, Yamamoto appeared very different.
He gave up six hits and five earned runs in his struggles to establish comfort on the mound against Chicago. Yamamoto only threw 32 strikes out of 58 pitches, allowing the leadoff batter to reach base in every inning.
Following the match, Yamamoto disclosed the possible reason behind his problems.
“I need to work on and adapt since I wasn’t feeling well [out of the stretch]. The numbers weren’t excellent overall. Too many walks and balls were present. One benefit, though, was that I could do anything I wanted to. It was fortunate that I was testing a few things.

Fortunately for Yamamoto, this was not a valid game. He will experience a learning curve as he adjusts to a new league and a new nation, and he won’t be flawless every time he takes the mound.
The fact that he grows from it is what matters most about all of this. He’ll be all right if he can pull that off. After the disappointing performance, Dodgers catcher Austin Barnes stood by him, stating that such circumstances are common in baseball.
“(Yamamoto) remains a person. You don’t always have the same prestige command as he does. However, I believe it’s beneficial to have a difficult time. It’s not easy to play baseball. I believe he will take it as a lesson, and we will go on.

His troubles will cause some people to overreact, but this is common. Yamamoto has the ability to put this all behind him even though this is only his second start in Spring Training.
