Shedeur Sanders seldom takes a day off; in fact, he combined work with play when vacationing in South Florida.
The quarterback for the Colorado Buffaloes recently visited “The U” to toss with Cam Ward of Miami and Kyron Drones of Virginia Tech. In front of his competitors on the practice field, Sanders looked sharp, which is encouraging for the Spring Game that takes place next month. Just four months have passed since he began his recuperation from a broken back.
Regarding Ward, the Washington State transfer decided against pursuing his NFL dreams and ended up at Miami. In November of last year, he guided the Cougars to a 56-14 rout over the Buffs, with Sanders leaving the game at halftime.
One of the few quarterbacks outside of “Grown” who progressed from an FCS school to a significant Power Five program in a manner like to his own. Sanders and Ward have worked out together throughout the offseason for the second consecutive year. Kyron Drones of Virginia Tech and some of his receivers joined them for the QB coaching clinic with renowned Darrell Colbert, who has been stationed with Sanders in Boulder.
Sanders is expected to be a high pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, which will include the future NFL quarterbacks. The younger son of Coach Prime hopes to expand on his record-breaking 3,230 yards and 27 touchdowns from last year at Colorado.
On April 27, the Buffs will play their yearly Black and Gold Spring Game at Folsom Field.
