ESPN REPORT: The Montreal Canadiens Head Coach is Been Fired Due to….

Montreal: Head coach of the Montreal Canadiens, Claude Julien, 60, was taken to the hospital by ambulance on Wednesday night after experiencing chest pains after the team’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers.

On Thursday afternoon, General Manager Marc Bergevin made the announcement.

Bergevin reported, “Claude experienced chest pains during the night.” “We immediately consulted our doctors and it was agreed to quickly transfer him to the hospital by ambulance.”

Assistant coach Kirk Muller will be asked to fill in for Julien behind the Habs bench as he is unlikely to return before the end of this series.

“We don’t expect him to be back in this series against the Flyers,” Bergevin stated. “Kirk (Muller), Dominique (Ducharme) and Luke (Richardson) will share the responsibility.”

Marc Bergevin announces that chef and trainer Claude Julien has been admitted to the hospital due to pelvic pain. Kirk Muller will guarantee the inside.

According to Bergevin, Julien spoke with his wife early on Thursday, and it seems unlikely that she would visit Toronto.

“There was some positive news (from team doctor David Mulder) so hopefully he can be released soon and go back home,” stated Bergevin.

The general manager spoke with the players at the practice rink, according to Captain Shea Weber, who said Bergevin broke the news to him at breakfast. According to Weber, the strategy is still the same, and he is optimistic that the assistant coaches for the Habs can adjust to the more difficult assignment with ease.

“The other coaches know what our system is, they put all this plan in place as well, and they’re going to do a good job leading us that way,” Weber stated. There won’t be much of a change in my role. We’re going to press on and complete the tasks at hand.”

In honor of their coach, Weber continued, the club is now even more motivated to defeat the Flyers.

“In these situations there’s obviously a little bit of an emotional factor and a shock factor,” Weber stated. “We can definitely use that as a resource. Though this can bring up a little bit more of that, we were already motivated.”

Twenty minutes after learning the news, Julien’s close friend and Flyers coach Alain Vigneault appeared shaken.

“A lot of things go through your mind, and especially I’ve known Claude since I’ve been 20 and we’ve been through different things without a doubt in our relationship,” Vigneault stated. “Right now I want to get this press conference done to go see if I can’t reach out to (Bergevin) and find out the latest development.”

In the qualifying round, the Canadiens—the NHL’s bottom-seeded team—overcame the Pittsburgh Penguins in four games.

Born and raised in Blind River, Ontario, Julien has been a head coach in the NHL since taking over the Canadiens in 2002.

In 2011, Julien led the Boston Bruins to the Stanley Cup. Halfway through the 2016–17 campaign, he went back to coaching Montreal.
