Head coach Jim Harbaugh projected that Michigan would surpass Georgia’s record of 15 players selected in the 2022 NFL Draught before the 2023 campaign even got underway.

“I anticipate that 20 players will be selected in the upcoming NFL draught. We smash that record, I wager. That year, Georgia had fifteen.”

Trevor Keegan (OL), Drake Nugent (OL), Zak Zinter (OL), Trente Jones (OL), Karsen Barnhart (OL), Myles Hinton (OL), Ladarius Henderson (OL), Blake Corum (RB), Donovan Edwards (RB), AJ Barner (TE), and JJ McCarthy (QB) are among the players Harbaugh specifically mentioned as potential draught picks following this season.

While most of the players Harbaugh mentioned will probably turn out to be correct, it will be interesting to watch what players like Donovan Edwards and JJ McCarthy choose to do.

It wouldn’t come as a huge surprise to McCarthy if the junior quarterback declared for the draught after the 2023 campaign. He is already regarded as a first-round pick, and many predict that he will be one of the first five quarterbacks chosen.

Donovan Edwards, a junior running back, stated over the summer that he intended to enter the draught following this season, but there’s no doubting that his early-season performance fell short of expectations. It appears to be returning to Ann Arbour for one more season.would be beneficial for him, especially since he wouldn’t be sharing reps with Corum the following season. However, he must make that decision soon.

Regardless of how you choose to look at it, for a great number of Wolverines, this Saturday’s game against Ohio State will also mark their final appearance in Michigan Stadium. There isn’t a better way to close that chapter than a victory over the Buckeyes, which will pave the way for a potential rematch of the conference title game and a chance to play for a national championship.

Senior running back Blake Corum made it apparent in a Monday media appearance that he expects a great deal of emotion on his final trip down that tunnel wearing the winged helmet.

“I think it’s definitely going to be emotional, but it’s the game,” Corum stated. Who won’t experience emotion? Of course, I’ll be fired up. One last trip through that tunnel will undoubtedly evoke strong feelings. playing to the best fanbase—110,000, as I mentioned earlier. I just want to say that the University of Michigan has been nothing but kind to me heading into my final game in the Big House. I’m very happy that the University of Michigan selected me, and that I chose the University of Michigan. All I can say is that I’m grateful, thrilled, and hopefully we can wrap things up nicely.”
