Everton captain emerges following a historic Goodison Park moment to fight back against a points deduction.

Jarrad Branthwaite will be leading the next generation of Everton’s dogs of war, which are being bred at Goodison Park.

The blue half of Merseyside showed defiance upon hearing that they would be losing 10 points in the Premier League due to a violation of the Profit and Sustainability Rules. Even though they dropped to 19th place in the league, they still have momentum from their impressive run up until the November international break.

The Blues have another list of inductees waiting to be etched into Toffees folklore, and with the return to English top-flight action set for Sunday when Manchester United visits Goodison Park, the news broke last Friday while the team was deployed abroad.

In the midst of the controversy, Branthwaite stole the show on Tuesday at Goodison Park when he joined a select group of England youth internationals in their convincing victory over the Northern Ireland under-21 team.
