ESPN REPORT: The Green Brigade Head Coach is Being Fired Due to…
After the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Richarlison, a forward for Tottenham and Brazil, revealed he battled melancholy and was ready to “give up” after experiencing unpleasant thoughts.
After the competition, Richarlison said he sought out psychological counseling, describing the experience as “the best discovery I’ve ever had in my life.”
“Before I went to training, I wanted to go home, I wanted to go back to my room because, I don’t know what was going through my head,” Richarlison stated to ESPN Brasil. “I went to tell my dad that I was going to quit.
“You know, talking like that is sort of depressing. What I experienced following the World Cup and what I learned from those who had lived with me for more than seven years at home years… It’s absurd.
“To go to my father, who was the guy who chased my dream with me, and say, ‘Dad, I want to give up,’ is crazy.”
