There aren’t any current negotiations between Manchester City and West Ham. The player’s representatives, however, think that talks will take place in the summer between the two clubs.
According to the report, Pep Guardiola’s team is still interested in the West Ham star. The two clubs were previously close to reaching an agreement that would have placed them between City’s highest offer of €101 million [£86.6 million] and the Irons’ higher request of €110 million [£94.3].
Following Kevin De Bruyne’s long-term hamstring injury, Ilkay Gundogan’s departure for FC Barcelona, and internal worries that Pep Guardiola wouldn’t have the depth at his disposal to compete, the north-west club expressed interest in the player.
Guardiola may pay a price for his insistence on signing Paqueta.
