ESPN REPORT: The rally round Are Now Banned For the 2024 Season Due to….

What a fantastic job this green West Indies squad is doing performing its duties.

Beyond the expectations of cricket enthusiasts, they defeated the formidable Australians in the second Test match at Brisbane on January 27 by playing with incredible confidence and self-belief.

Kudos to skipper Kraigg Brathwaite and his outstanding team for winning the Test match and tying the series against the Test cricket world champions of 2023.

Australia’s captain, the overconfident Pat Cummins, proclaimed his team’s first innings to be 22 runs lower than the WI’s total in an attempt to grab some vital wickets before play ended. WI scored 193 runs after he only managed to get one. allowing his team to win the second Test and complete a sweep of the two Test series by scoring an impressive 216 runs.

In his debut Test series and only his second Test, the player-of-the-match and player-of-the-series fast bowler Shamar Joseph made his own demands and called out the Australian batsmen, rattling them for the incredible statistics of seven wickets for 68 runs, a bowling spell that was simply amazing. On the pitch, the exuberant 24-year-old never concealed his happiness at the gains he made as he sliced through Australia’s formidable batting lineup.

The WI cricketers raised their game to match the much better cricket pitch than it had been in the first Test match. The second Test’s pitch at Gabba had a thick layer of grass covering it and was hard. The ball was able to bounce true and consistently when it came to the bat, which helped the batsmen with their strokeplay and allowed them to play their drives confidently off the front foot.

The faster bowlers still received assistance with some movement off the seam, even though there was not as much movement off the wicket as the bowlers had in the first Test. However, the bowlers had to create that movement.

As expected for a Test match, the field appeared immaculate; the same could be said of Adelaide, the site of the first Test.

Seeing this effort by these underappreciated West Indian cricket players was just amazing. A few examples of the derogatory comments made by West Indians and Australians to these players, the team, and the captain include “like lambs to the slaughter” and “way below an acceptable standard.” But Kraigg Brathwaite’s team, who should be quite proud of themselves, did not let this stop them from playing cricket to the best of their abilities.
