The Michigan Wolverines will take on Ohio State on Saturday sporting their all-blue uniforms.
When Ohio State visits Ann Arbour on Saturday, fans of the Wolverines will be wearing one of the most popular uniform combinations in the city. Michigan revealed on Friday that it will wear an all-blue alternate for the 119th time ever when it plays the Buckeyes.
Despite Ohio State’s eight victories in a row, the Wolverines have emerged triumphant in their last two meetings, winning both by a combined score of 87-50.
Some noteworthy things to consider before Saturday’s Top-Five matchup:
The Wolverines’ 21-game home winning streak is the longest under head coach Jim Harbaugh and the longest the programme has had since a 28-game winning streak under former head coach Bo Schembechler from 1969 to 1973.
The match between Michigan and Ohio State will take place for the 119th time. The all-time series is favoured by the Wolverines 60-52-6. After winning the last two meetings (2021 and 2022), U-M snapped an eight-game losing streak against OSU.
This will be Michigan and Ohio State’s 61st meeting in Ann Arbour and their 50th at Michigan Stadium. U-M has a 32-+24-4 record in Ann Arbour versus OSU and a 24-22-3 record at Michigan Stadium.
Michigan and Ohio State will square off for the 26th time in a Top-10 game this coming Saturday. In those games, the Buckeyes have a 12-11-2 advantage.
The rival teams will face off as Top-Five teams for the thirteenth time. Although the Buckeyes are 7-4-1 favourites in those games, the Wolverines have prevailed in four of the previous six meetings.
When both teams are in the top three of the polls, this will be the fourth meeting between U-M and OSU. Ohio Stadium served as the site of all prior games.
