The coaching carousel in the NHL is turning at a dizzying rate. Two formal hires were revealed on Tuesday. Travis Green was named the next head coach of the Ottawa Senators after serving as the next Jersey Devils’ temporary head coach at the end of the regular season. After a disastrous first season under new owner Michael Andlauer, which began with hopes of ending a six-season playoff drought but finished with a 26th-place finish in the standings, the 53-year-old will be tasked with getting the Senators back on track.
