Rangers star Philippe Clement admits, “We Need To Get Him Really Fit.”
Kemar Roofe needs to find a way to return and be able to play for a long time, according to Rangers manager Philippe Clement.
Due to his struggles with injuries, Roofe has only made ten appearances for the Rangers this season.
Prior to Rangers’ Sunday home match against Hearts, he has been ruled out once more. Clement stated that he has no idea when the forward will be available to play again.
The Rangers manager emphasized the importance of conducting a thorough evaluation of the forward’s injury before formulating a rehabilitation strategy for him. He pointed out that Roofe has often been rushed back too quickly, leading to subsequent breakdowns, and he wants the player to achieve long-lasting fitness to contribute consistently to the team.
When asked about Roofe’s return date during a press conference, the Rangers manager humorously stated, “I can do many things, but I’m not a doctor. I didn’t invest as many years in medical studies as doctors do, so I cannot provide a specific timeline.” He stressed the need for a comprehensive assessment to ensure Kemar’s return to the team is sustainable, rather than short-lived, as has been the case in recent months.
Roofe’s recurrent injuries have prevented him from securing a permanent spot in the starting eleven at Ibrox.
