Find the original story here: The Oregon State basketball seasons have come to an end. The women’s team made their third Elite 8 appearance, and Pac-12 league realignment continues as transfer season begins.

According to 247 Sports, the men’s and women’s basketball roster includes Talia Von Oelhoffen, Jordan Pope, Tyler Bilodeau, Christian Wright, Justin Rochelin, Dexter Akanno, Jayden Stevens, and KC Ibekwe.

Von Oelhoffen and Pope have both posted on social media, prompting a mix of sadness and support from admirers.

“I can’t describe how grateful I am for the love and support you’ve shown me over the last three years. It’s been a pleasure to play in front of you and represent our university. “I wouldn’t trade the experiences I’ve had or the relationships I’ve formed here for anything,” Von Oelhoffen stated. “Given the circumstances, I have determined that it is best for me and my future to end this chapter of my life.” I’ll be entering the portal as a graduate transfer to use my final year of eligibility elsewhere.”

Von Oelhoffen is graduating from Oregon State University with a degree in business and psychology and has decided to apply her final year of eligibility elsewhere. Von Oelhoffen played 35 games this season, scoring 10.7 points per game.

“From the moment I got to OSU, the incredible fans, people within the Corvallis community, staff, along with my peers have done nothing but embrace me, accept me, allow me to be myself, and I have been very fortunate to call a place like that HOME,” Pope stated. “Even though the seasons weren’t what we wanted, the past two years have been nothing but amazing for me. You have helped an 18-year-old kid fight adversity, overcome hardships, learn, grow, and elevate himself beyond measures…”The friendship, fraternity, and memories will endure a lifetime, and you can be confident that I will always be there for you.”

Pope leaves OSU with two years of eligibility remaining. He appeared in 32 games for the Beavers last season, scoring 17.6 points per game.

“After going home to spend time with family and having extensive talks about my future, my family and I have decided the best decision for my career moving forward is to enter my name into the transfer portal,” Pope Francis stated.

Though Beaver Nation will miss the players, they send their best wishes for their future pursuits via social media comments and support.
