Wolves have bounced back from a poor start in terrific fashion this season with Pedro Neto being the star fronting the improvements.

Pedro Neto has been a revelation for the Molineux side this season with six assists and a goal already.

Due to his outstanding play, the Wolves winger has drawn interest from several elite teams, including Liverpool.

Neto recently discussed Wolves’ current season in an exclusive interview with The Telegraph.

Here, he makes the argument that supporters of Gary O’Neil were too quick to criticise and didn’t realise that things take time.

As Wolves prepare to go four games without a loss, we can now see the benefits being felt.

Neto on Wolves supporters
“I asked the fans to just relax.” He clarified, “To be honest, people don’t realise how tough it is for a team to lose their coach at the start of the season.

“After O’Neil’s appointment, we had Manchester United away four days later, and Gary was really struggling.” At first, the outcomes were not what we had hoped for, and people had high expectations.

“It’s not simple, and we required time.” The fans are kind to me, but sometimes they don’t realise how hard it is. We are improving as a result of our diligent work, which is now gradually coming together. We are committed to giving the club our all while we are here.

Although Neto has been outstanding the entire season, the team’s recent success has helped him. Most recently, the winger dazzled against Bournemouth, earning praise from O’Neil.

How good is Wolves’ recent form?

Many people were afraid that Wolves would face another relegation battle after their draw with Luton Town.

Apart from the League Cup loss to highly skilled Ipswich Town, Wolves have performed exceptionally well since then.

Wolves are full of confidence after victories over Manchester City and Bournemouth and a draw with Aston Villa.

With a match against Sheffield United the following week, there will be high expectations if victory over Newcastle can be avoided.
