Indeed, the Buckeyes lost junior quarterback Kyle McCord—possibly the biggest name in the portal—early on Monday morning.

The eight teams that stand out are Miami, NC State, Rutgers, Louisville, Mississippi State, Kentucky, Nebraska, and Pittsburgh, according to college football analyst Brad Crawford of 247Sports.
Nevertheless, another report from On3’s Pete Nakos indicates that Nebraska most likely won’t be included.
“Kyle is not going to want to play for a lesser Big Ten opponent,” Nakos stated. “He is not interested in playing Ohio State right now. That’s not something I believe he wants to do.”
With five of his six interceptions for the season coming in his final five games, McCord—who began every game for the Buckeyes this season—became a target of criticism from the fan base in the final stretch of the season.
However, McCord threw two crucial interceptions in the Buckeyes’ 30-24 loss to the Wolverines, making the two biggest picks of the season in the most significant game.
In addition, McCord received criticism for his remarks regarding the Michigan game, some of it from former Buckeye players.
Nevertheless, he completed 65.8 percent of his passes for 3,170 yards and 24 touchdowns, with just six interceptions, to rank 14th in the nation in terms of quarterback rating. Along with an 11-1 regular season, he guided the Buckeyes to a No. 7 College Football Playoff ranking.
