According to Sergio Perez, being caught behind Nico Hulkenberg in the F1 Singapore GP was a nightmare because talks about the quickest lap did occur inside the Red Bull camp. Red Bull’s Perez had a rough start to the F1 Singapore GP following a strong performance in Baku that resulted in retirement. Along with colleague Max Verstappen, the Mexican fell behind in the order, and after being eliminated in the second qualifying round, he paid the price in qualifying. However, Perez got off to a strong start in the grand prix, moving up to 10th in the early going. But in the first stint, he lagged behind Franco Colapinto. The Argentine was cleared by undercut, but in the second session, he was unable to pass Hulkenberg until the chequered flag.
