Damontae Kazee, a safety for the Pittsburgh Steelers, was disciplined for hitting Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. viciously.

Through Week 15, the Indianapolis Colts held the seventh seed in the AFC playoff picture after defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers 30–13. But they managed to win the game without their two best offensive playmakers, as wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (concussion) and running back Zack Moss (arm) would both leave the game injured and not return.

Although Pittman’s hit from Steelers safety Damontae Kazee was severe enough to result in an NFL suspension for the remainder of the season, including postseason games, Moss still wants to play despite his injury.

“For repeated violations of playing rules intended to protect the health and safety of players, the NFL is suspending #Steelers safety Damontae Kazee without pay for the remainder of the regular season and any potential postseason games,” NFL insider Tom Pelissero wrote on X.
