The No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide football team is getting ready to play the No. 1 Michigan Wolverines in the Rose Bowl quarterfinal of the College Football Playoffs.

As a matter of fact, the Tide’s preparation for the Wolverines begins on Tuesday, as the first few days of bowl practice were devoted to learning the basics.

What has changed since the Tide’s post-Southeastern Conference championship game return to practice? About a dozen new faces can be seen, as several early enrollees from the class of 2024 are assisting Alabama in getting ready for its bowl game.

Julian Sayin, the five-star quarterback from Carlsbad, California, is the most recognizable face.

On Tuesday, Jalen Milroe, the starting quarterback right now, was questioned about Sayin and his progress throughout the first few days of his college career.

Yes, as a freshman entering college, I have been in his position. “My only goal is to provide him with the knowledge I possess, letting him absorb it all and supporting him as a valuable team member,” Milroe stated on Tuesday. He spins the ball pretty nicely when he’s with him. His presence in the room has been incredibly beneficial. to be in the company of another man. I’m just grateful for what I have.Another sibling is in the room, practicing pretty well, and he’s a kind guy.”

Sayin arrived early to familiarize himself with the Alabama playbook and terminology, even though he is ineligible to play in the Rose Bowl.

After practicing for a week in Tuscaloosa, the Crimson Tide takes a plane to California, where they spend an additional week in preparation for the Rose Bowl.
