Frank Wycheck, the former tight end for the Tennessee Titans, passed suddenly at the age of 52, leaving the team without one of its greatest players.
According to a family statement obtained by Titans beat writer Paul Kuharsky, Wycheck passed away on Saturday following what seemed to be a fall at his Chattanooga home.
Leo, Stevie, August, and Madison, his three grandchildren, as well as his two adult daughters, Deanna and Madison, survive him.
As of right now, it seems Wycheck suffered a head injury on Saturday morning after falling inside his Chattanooga, Tennessee house. That afternoon, he was discovered to be non-responsive.
This past summer, Wycheck relocated to Chattanooga, TN in order to be nearer to his family. Leo, Stevie, and August are his three grandsons. He also leaves behind two married adult daughters, Deanna and Madison.
Per his requests, the family intends to collaborate with specialists in the field of ongoing brain damage (TBI) and CTE research. Funeral arrangements have not yet been arranged.
Although the Wycheck family is grateful for all of the love and support they have received, they kindly ask that people respect their privacy at this trying time. I’m grateful.
