Making History During the Celtics vs. Clippers Game.

The Boston Celtics completely destroyed the LA Clippers on Saturday afternoon, but Paul George was one of the few players who had a good game for LA. He made a small amount of history during the game, in fact.

In 29 minutes, Paul George scored 21 points on 53% shooting from the field. George passed Bob Cousy to move up to 101st place on the all-time scoring list. With 16,976 points currently under his belt, he needs just 161 more to pass Grant Hill and break into the top 100 all-time.

Paul George was obviously on fire against the Celtics, but it didn’t matter because the Clippers were unable to play defense or secure a rebound. It was clear going into the game that the Celtics’ goal was to shoot as many threes as they could, and the Clippers made it easy on them by allowing 15 offensive rebounds.

The Clippers are still a team that won 9 straight games with Kawhi Leonard in the lineup, despite their recent struggles. Due to a left hip contusion that resulted from Grant Williams hip-checking him on Wednesday, he has missed the last two games. Since then, LA has played two games in three days, so it has been a quick turnaround. They should have enough time for Kawhi to return because they don’t play until the day after Christmas.
