ESPN REPORT: Sad News For Cleveland Browns As 5 Star Players Depart Team For…

ESPN broadcasters Troy Aikman and Joe Buck revealed the severity of Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb’s injury.

In the first half of their Monday night loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, 26-22, Chubb was tackled while running close to the goal line. He instantly grabbed his left leg. Although it didn’t look good at first, the broadcasters later revealed that it was much worse than it seemed.

“I’m told the replay of Nick Chubb getting injured is not to be seen,” Buck said during the ABC broadcast.

The stadium screen showed the replay as Buck was saying it, and the crowd let out a loud groan in response.

Indeed, we will not be displaying it. It’s as awful as it gets, according to analyst Troy Aikman.

Joe Buck said, “I am told that the replay of Nick Chubb getting injured is not to be seen.”

All we really need to know is probably revealed by the collective groan from the Pittsburgh crowd. Chubb was removed by cart.

While Minkah Fitzpatrick was later observed on Pittsburgh’s bench, he was also injured during the play.

As Chubb was being hauled down by another defender, Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick struck him low. His knee bent awkwardly as a result of that.

Chubb went down and was carted off the field. Buck stated on the broadcast that as he headed for the locker room, Steelers fans who had seen the replay chanted his name and gave him an ovation.

The Brown was declared out right away because of what the team described as a knee injury. The next play saw Chubb’s backup, Jerome Ford, score, but the celebration was understandably muted.

Then, following the game, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski validated everyone’s fears. Chubb suffered a “significant” knee injury that ended his season, though the exact details were unknown.

When Chubb was tackled close to the sideline and landed awkwardly, he suffered a serious knee injury while playing for Georgia in his collegiate career. That happened to the same left knee he hurt on Monday night during the 2015 campaign. Chubb was selected by the Browns in the second round of the draft and made a comeback appearance for Georgia in 2016 and 2017.

Chubb is a vital component of the Browns’ offense and one of the top running backs in the NFL. Last season, Chubb recorded a career-high 1,525 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns—his fifth in the NFL. In the Browns’ season-opening victory over the Cincinnati Bengals last week, the 27-year-old gained 106 rushing yards on 18 carries. On Monday night, he was down with 64 yards on 10 carries. With the Browns, Chubb is in the second year of a three-year, $36 million contract.

Ford gained 106 yards on 16 carries in the end, and on the evening, he caught three passes for 25 yards and a touchdown. This season, he’ll probably take the lead in the ground game since Chubb is out. Ford, 23, is ahis second year in the competition.
