A former Nebraska quarterback has declared that he will play professional football going forward. Adrian Martinez joined the United States Football League’s Birmingham Stallions.
Martinez attended Nebraska from 2018 to 21 before moving to Kansas State for the 2018–19 academic year. He had a 14–24 record as a starter for the Huskers in Lincoln.
He would throw for 9,391 yards, 49 touchdowns, and 30 interceptions in his career. 44 touchdowns and 2,847 yards were gained by him as a runner.
After graduating from college, he was invited to the Detroit Lions training camp but was later waived, even though he was not selected in the draft. Martinez will be a part of the Birmingham Stallions, who have won the previous two USFL titles.
