Hurts led the ecstatic Philadelphia fans at the Linc in a performance that was more shouting than singing, despite attempts to encourage him from Fox’s Terry Bradshaw, owner Jeffrey Lurie, and some Eagles players. By the end, his teammates were laughing so hard. Hurts didn’t even finish the song; midway through, he stopped to laugh merrily and walked off the stage.
Hurts, 24, was still very much the youngest quarterback to ever make it to the Super Bowl, so there was plenty to be happy about. His fifteenth rushing touchdown made him the NFL quarterback with the most in a single season. Following the victory, he even got to shake hands with DJ Jazzy Jeff, the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” on the field.
