The manner in which he was suspended on the… is disturbing.

For everyone in the Cleveland Browns organization, Joe Flacco has been beneficial. The team is winning, the coaching staff believes in him, and the fans have welcomed him. The way he’s gotten along with the top offensive players so quickly, though, is what really makes it all come together.

We’ve all seen how much he means to Amari Cooper, who in Week 16 shattered the franchise record for the most yards ever gained. But tight end David Njoku is the only one who has shown a greater improvement in their numbers.

Njoku has exploded since Flacco took over. When Flacco made his debut in Week 13 (two receptions for 17 yards), the two didn’t click very much, but ever since, they’ve been outstanding. In those four games, Njoku has caught at least six passes for a total of 28 receptions for 373 yards and four touchdowns.

During that time, he not only tied his career high for touchdowns, but he also had the second-most receiving yards in the league going into the weekend. Since then, CeeDee Lamb’s explosion has allowed him to pass, but as of right now, he is outperforming every tight end in the NFL.

Njoku has profited from Flacco’s accuracy as well as his steadiness under center. In addition to hitting Njoku frequently, he also gives him the chance to make plays after the catch, and Njoku has excelled in that regard.David Njoku should be a Pro Bowl player for the Browns.
Njoku, who was selected in the first round of the 2017 draft with Myles Garrett and Jabrill Peppers, has always had the potential to be a star. He has demonstrated his tenacity and athleticism at every opportunity this year. Even after a bizarre incident in which he sustained severe burns, he recovered to play.

He now has a career best in yards (882), touchdowns (6), and receptions (81), going into the final week of the regular season. He trails just Amari Cooper in yardage but leads the team in receptions and touchdowns. Because of his efforts, he should easily make the Pro Bowl this season, and he could even be a starter.Additional Browns news and commentary
