Many reports state that Devon Wylie, a former NFL wide receiver, passed away at the age of 35.

Action News in Fresno was informed by a family member that Wylie’s death was confirmed on social media. The source added that Wylie’s passing was known to a number of his former teammates.

As of Wednesday morning, the cause of death remained unknown.

The unnamed family member posted on Facebook, stating, according to Yahoo Sports, that they “wanted to make this post so people who knew and loved Devon could learn of his passing because we don’t have the capacity to reach out to everyone in this hard time.”

The post went on, “The sorrow that results from losing a brother is indescribable.

a great uncle and close friend. Devon was so full of pleasure and love.”

His football prowess, guitar jams, goofy voices and jokes, backflips, lighthearted banter, Star Wars discussions, Halo evenings, and, of course, his gorgeous smile never fail to make people laugh. He will always be missed.
