In advance of Monday Night Football, Kyle Shanahan is getting ready for Tampa Bay and Dallas.
In the NFC divisional round, the San Francisco 49ers are ready for either scenario, even though they still don’t know who they’ll play next Sunday.
Prior to Monday Night Football, the coaching staff will watch game film of the Dallas Cowboys and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan’s statement on Monday. In this manner, they can start the NFL postseason’s second round ahead of schedule.
“We’ll be seeing a lot of movies about Tampa and Dallas. And by the time it gets to that part of the game, we’ve probably seen enough of both teams that we’re just waiting for it to end,” Shanahan stated on a Monday conference call.
The head coach believes that being extra-prepared will help him relax closer to kickoff and watch the game like a “normal person.”
After the game, Kyle Shanahan said, “I’ll probably just sit back and relax tonight and watch just the TV copy like a normal person, and then probably get to work a little bit before we start on Tuesday.”
