Matt Taylor has insisted that he is “so pleased” with what Bristol Rovers stood for as a football club after earning an FA Cup third round replay at Championship side Norwich City on Saturday afternoon.
The Gas were cheered on by 1,333 travelling Gasheads and started the better of the two sides at Carrow Road but found themselves behind after an unfortunate trip in the area from Tristan Crama allowed Onel Hernandez the opportunity to tee up Ashley Barnes for a tap-in.
Impressively though, Rovers found the equaliser just five minutes later as Grant Ward fired a cracker into the top corner from just inside the 18-yard-box.
