Despite how his season at Elland Road ended, Brenden Aaronson hasn’t ruled out returning to play for Leeds United.
One of Leeds’ disappointments from the previous season, when they were demoted from the Premier League, was Aaronson.
During the most recent summer transfer window, the American international moved from Leeds to Union Berlin on loan with no buyout option.
He made it clear, though, that he left the Whites in order to play in the Premier League and gain experience in the Champions League.
“It is definitely feasible. The Athletic was informed by Aaronson that the situation was not over and done.
“I adore the club,” I cherish the relationships I formed and the guys I was there with. Simply put, the way it ended was difficult.
“I believed that participating in the Champions League and the Bundesliga would be the greatest moves I could make to advance my career.
“So that’s why I decided to do that.”
Although Aaronson’s contract with the Yorkshire giants runs until 2027, it’s unclear if Daniel Farke intends to keep him at Elland Road in the future.
