Coach Cleary keeps cool head in bid for NRL three-peat

Even though Penrith coach Ivan Cleary is poised to win an NRL premiership for the third time in a row, he doesn’t seem nervous at all.

Cleary could have been forgiven for believing at times this year that he might not have had a chance to complete a grand final three-peat.

Following their early-season loss to St Helens in the World Club Challenge, Penrith suffered losses to Brisbane and Parramatta.

In the process, they also had to play without injured five-eighth Jarome Luai and halfback Nathan Cleary.

But throughout the Panthers boss, on the outside at least, has kept a cool head.
