Bluder could win her 800th career game as a head coach on Sunday against Drake.

On Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021, at Carver-Hawkeye Arena, during a women’s basketball game between No. 8 Iowa and Southern University, head coach Lisa Bluder of Iowa converses with assistant coach Abby Stamp. The Hawkeyes won 87–67 against the Jaguars. Bluder now has 799 victories overall in her professional career after this victory.

After the Hawkeyes defeated Southern University at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Wednesday night, Lisa Bluder, the head coach of the Iowa women’s basketball team, sat at the postgame podium. This was Bluder’s 799th victory as head coach.

As she was questioned about approaching victory number 800, the head Hawkeye, who was seated next to her athletes, cracked a joke.
