Missouri would need to have one of their best performances to defeat LSU. With a combined score of 197.150, both teams have recorded three victories this season. However, LSU’s victory over No. 6 Kentucky yielded a season-high 198.125, while Missouri has not yet attained the 198 threshold.

LSU’s lone defeat of the year occurred away from home against the top-ranked Oklahoma Sooners, losing 197.900-197.150 in the end.

The Missouri Tigers, who had outstanding performances in Athens, will have to rely on their seasoned players, senior Mara Titarsolej and graduate student Sienna Schreiber. However, they will also need to perform well from their rookies, Hannah Horton and Kennedy Griffen.

Titarsolej’s performance earned her her first SEC Specialist of the Week award, as she scored an astounding 9.975 on the uneven bars. In addition to winning awards from the conference for her uneven bars performance, the native of the Netherlands set a school record by achieving the highest bars score in the institution’s history.

Missouri and LSU are both 4-1 on the season thus far, with their single loss to No. 4 Alabama in Tuscaloosa and No. 1 Oklahoma, respectively. When the Missouri Tigers play the LSU Tigers in their SEC home opener on Friday, Titarsolej and the team want to bring their success back to Columbia.

Missouri will take a brief vacation from SEC play on Saturday, February 3 at 6 p.m. as they travel to the Lone Star State to play Texas Woman’s University. The meet begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Hearnes Center in Columbia, Mo.
