Missouri Tigers football player Stacy Brown has been suspended following a recent arrest, the school confirmed on Tuesday. Brown, a rising senior safety from Dallas, was arrested in the early hours of Monday morning for suspicion of possession and delivery of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a firearm, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Though listed without a name attached, there was a report of an arrest meeting that description at 1:09 a.m. on the University of Missouri police’s online crime log. “We are aware of the situation involving Stacy Brown,” Mizzou football head coach Eliah Drinkwitz said in a prepared statement released to The Star. “He is suspended, per athletics department policy. We’ll continue to gather information and determine the best course of action.”
