Caitlin Clark has been in the national spotlight consistently for the better part of a full year, and the press is always positive for the Iowa Hawkeyes star.
On Saturday, Clark dropped another on-court gem. She poured in 38 points, grabbed 10 boards and dished out 6 assists in a blowout win over Nebraska. Iowa is now 19-2 and is the 5th-ranked team in the nation.
Caitlin Clark makes trading card history
Clark’s standout performance comes on the back of some off-court history. A trading card of Clark, named the “2022 Bowman University Superfractor Caitlin Clark Rookie Auto” continues to reset the market.
The card is 1/1, meaning there is only a single version of it on the entire planet. The final sale price during an auction on Thursday was $78,000. The previous high for a women’s basketball card was $11,500 for a Sabrina Ionescu card.
Clark actually has an NIL partnership with Topps, the company that manufactures the Bowman series of cards. She continues to build a lasting legacy both on and off the court, and she hasn’t even reached the WNBA yet.
