Tom Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl winner, played collegiate football for the Michigan Wolverines prior to starting his NFL career. And by announcing a commercial deal with his old mater and one of its best players this week, he somewhat returned to his origins.
Brady Brand, an apparel and textile company created and owned by Tom Brady, unveiled a collection of Michigan Wolverines gear this week, which includes t-shirts, sweatshirts, and hats. In order to further promote the new line, the business also inked J.J. McCarthy, a quarterback who is currently a star at Michigan, to a non-exclusive contract.
In an advertisement for the recently launched Brady Brand Michigan collection, J.J. McCarthy shared his thoughts on what Brady’s “greatness” means to him.
McCarthy declared, “He proved it to everyone by defying the odds.” even if you’re not the biggest, swiftest, or most powerful. You have the ability to excel. Being the best version of yourself so that you may motivate others to be the best versions of themselves is what I define as greatness. The world will be a better place if everyone makes it their goal to be the best version of themselves. To me, that is brilliance.
